Environmental Policy

In 2009, Montana Import Group made a commitment to "greening" as an opportunity to align the dealership with current trends in environmental responsibility and to join forces with the local conservation community.   In doing so, an environmental mission statement and policy were created by the employees at the dealership.

Montana Import Group's environmental mission statement is:

To promote environmental awareness and responsibility through our operations, the products we control, our communications, and our relationships towards protecting our future.

The mission statement serves as the umbrella for current and future environmental policies, plans, and procedures for the dealership.  For day-to-day operations, the mission statement functions as a compass to help direct employees in their operations and communications with vendors, partners, and customers alike.

Montana Import Group's environmental policy statement is listed below.  It is the outcome of recommendations made by dealership employees.  Each topic area has associated programs at the dealership.

Montana Import Group will:

  • Promote environmental stewardship through outreach opportunities at the dealership and in its relationships. 
  • Recycle and reduce waste through adopting a comprehensive recycling program that facilitates recycling for staff and customers.
  • Purchase products that are sustainable when such alternatives exist and performance is not compromised.
  • Become energy efficient through updating equipment and eliminating unnecessary use of energy resources.
  • Conserve water through use of technology that enables water savings.
  • Reach out to the greater Gallatin Valley's conservation and stewardship communities and engage the environmentally minded public.
  • Ensure that communications about the dealership are consistent with the environmental mission statement.
